You read along, thinking everything makes sense… and then BOOM. Everything you believed is flipped upside down.
If you love being completely thrown off track, this one needs to be at the top of your list. Just promise not to spoil it for others — it’s way too good.
4. The Body in the Library
Time to bring in Miss Marple — the sweet old lady with a brain sharper than most detectives.
This is a shorter, super readable book with that classic cozy English village setting.
A young woman is found dead in the library of a well-respected couple, and Miss Marple is there to quietly but brilliantly connect all the dots.
Simple, clever, and so satisfying.
5. Hallowe’en Party
Halloween, teenagers, creepy stories, and — of course — a murder.
This one has a darker, more psychological vibe. A girl claims she witnessed a murder… and ends up dead the same night.
Poirot returns to unravel the truth, and the twists keep coming.
It’s not as talked-about as some of her others, but definitely deserves more love.

Imagine someone places a newspaper ad announcing a murder — time, date, place.
Everyone thinks it’s a game. But then… it actually happens. Enter Miss Marple again, who slowly pulls apart the web of secrets and lies.
It’s witty, smart, and full of surprises. One of Christie’s most entertaining and cleverly written mysteries.
